Terms of use

AvLists is a listing service. We show aircraft, engines and parts offered by private sellers, brokers and dealers, and we pass messages between buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any sale. We are not a broker, dealer, agent, escrow holder, lender, inspector or title company, and we do not own, hold or inspect anything listed.

Registry checks, market numbers and similar information are provided to help you, from public and third-party sources that can be incomplete or out of date. A registry match is not a title search, a lien search or an inspection. Check everything yourself before you buy; our safe-buying guide explains how.

• You must be an adult who can make a binding contract where you live, and use your own email address.
• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep that mailbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• If you act for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and the business accepts these terms.
• One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer accounts.

When you list, you confirm that:

• you own the item or have the owner's written authority to sell, lease or rent it;
• the details are true and complete as far as you know, including damage history, logbook status and registration, and you will update or remove the listing promptly when anything changes, including when it sells;
• the photos, video and documents are yours or you have permission to use them, and show the actual item;
• the price is the real asking price, in the currency shown;
• the sale or export complies with the law, including aviation, export-control and sanctions rules, and parts are described with accurate traceability and certification.

Do not list stolen, counterfeit or unapproved parts, items you do not have, duplicate listings for the same item, or anything that is not aviation-related. Do not copy listings, photos or text from other websites.

We may review any listing, ask for proof of ownership or authority, hold a listing back, edit its category, or take it down if we believe it breaks these terms, is misleading, or puts buyers at risk. When we take a listing down we tell the seller why. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If you think we got it wrong, tell us.

• Use enquiries only to discuss the item listed or the want-to-buy request answered.
• No spam, advertising, harassment, phishing, or requests for payment outside a written sale agreement. Do not collect other users' contact details for any other purpose.
• AvLists limits how often messages can be sent, and either side writes only after the other has replied. We may read messages that are reported or flagged to investigate abuse.

• Listing is free. Current prices for the Verified and Pro dealer plans, and their one-time setup fee, are on the pricing page. The price you pay is the one shown when you check out, plus any sales tax the law requires.
• Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms; we never receive your card number. Verified and Pro renew each month, or each year on annual billing, until you cancel in the billing portal; cancelling stops the next renewal, and the plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
• Fees are not refundable once a plan period has started, except where the law requires a refund or we charged you in error. If you were charged twice or something went wrong, contact us and we will put it right.
• We may change prices for future purchases and renewals. We will give dealers at least 30 days' notice of a change to their plan.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give AvLists a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, display and distribute it to run and promote AvLists, including on dealer widgets, in alert emails and in search engines, for as long as it is listed and for a reasonable time after for backups and records. Market numbers we derive from listings are ours and identify no one.

• Do not scrape, copy or republish AvLists listings or data in bulk, or access AvLists by automated means other than search engines that follow our robots.txt.
• Do not interfere with the site, test its security without our written permission, or get around its limits or checks.
• Do not use AvLists to break the law or to mislead anyone.

AvLists is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that the site will always be available or error-free, or that any listing, user or item is genuine, accurate, safe, airworthy or legal to buy. Any deal is between the buyer and the seller.

To the extent the law allows, AvLists and its owners, staff and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for anything arising from a transaction between users. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

If a claim is made against AvLists because of something you posted, a sale you made, or your breach of these terms or the law, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. Sections 7 and 9 to 13 continue to apply after your account ends.

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where AvLists's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms takes away a consumer right that the law of your province, territory or state gives you and that cannot be waived.

If you have a problem, please contact us first; most things can be sorted out quickly.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use AvLists after that means you accept the new terms. Write to us at support@avlists.com.
